Although we would like to compress everything you need to know into a post, we have to fulfill our legal obligations by describing everything in great detail.

With this in mind, we have drafted our Privacy Policy in the simplest way possible so that you can make informed decisions when having access to Inmigramm services and to ensure that you understand and have control over the data we collect, how we process it, and when we share it.

and we are located in Av. Paseo de la Reforma #483, Colonia Cuauhtémoc, Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06500, México City, México. We are responsible for the management, use and protection of your personal data.

Inmigramm is committed to handling the personal data you provide us in a responsible manner and in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter, “LFPDPPP” by its acronym in spanish), its Regulations, and other applicable regulations.

Our main goal is to offer you a reliable, secure, and dynamic legal advisory service through our website. To achieve this, we use technology such as Big Data and Analytics, which allows us to analyze your personal data with greater accuracy, aiming to fulfill the primary purposes outlined below. All the technology we use to process your information complies with the highest standards of computer security.

Your personal data is protected by administrative, physical, and technical security measures to prevent its loss, alteration, destruction, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

Which data do Inmigramm collect from me?

You provide us with some data, and we collect other. In exchange, you have an optimal experience in the services we provide for you. Isn’t it great? Check your configuration.

Data processed by us is classified in two categories. Click in the bullets below for more details about this. 

To use our services, you need to have an account, and to create an account, you must provide us with certain data. Likewise, if you use our paid products and services, you will not be able to receive them unless you provide us with your payment information. Basically, to use many of our services, it is necessary that you provide us with certain data, such as: 

  • Identification data: name, email address, age, gender, nationality, place of legal residence, passport number, temporary or permanent residence card number.
  • Immigration data: immigration status, immigration record, current location, current, former and/or pending immigration procedures before the National Immigration Institute (I.N.M by its acronym)  
  • Financial data: To purchase the services we offer, you will need to provide us with your payment information, including your credit or debit card number, your card’s expiration date, the CVV code, and the billing address.
  • Preferences: When you set your preferences through your settings, we will collect this data in order to respect your preferences.
  • User accounts and chat service: If you create an user account to track your services processes and/or are using our chat to chat with a lawyer, you must provide us with certain data so that you can have access to it. This includes a username; a password; an email address; a phone number; a date of birth to confirm that you are legal age; the display language.
  • Sensitive personal data: We do not collect data considered as sensitive personal data according to LFPDPPP.

When you use our services, we collect data on how you use our products and services. We use this data to offer you better products and services, as well as to make Inmigramm’s website safer and more relevant to you. This data includes:

  • Data about your connection, such as the device and  browser you use to access, server name, IP address, date and time of internet browsing on our site, and sections consulted.
  • Purchases and payments. To allow you to make a payment through the payment gateway on the Inmigramm website, including through an intermediary, we may receive data related to the transaction made, for example, the date it was made, the scheduled date of expiry or automatic renewal of a subscription, and the amounts paid or received.

For what purpose is my data processed?

The purposes for which we process your data are classified in two types: main purposes and secondary purposes.  If you have any questions that have not been clarified, you can always contact us. Let’s go with it:

These purposes are essential so they gave rise to and are necessary for the existence, maintenance, and fulfillment of the legal relationship between Inmigramm and you. So without them, you won’t be able to have access to our services: 

  • To provide you with the legal services you request.  These  may include: Legal advice on immigration matters; visa processing, and other immigration processes before the National Immigration Institute (I.N.M), as well as for processing mexican naturalization applications; company formation and corporate manteinance; tax, labour and social security legal advice and processes related; relocation services; real estate legal services;
  • Access your user account and the chat service with our lawyers
  • Contact you to schedule a remote appointment with the lawyers associated with our platform
  • Share the details of your consultation with the lawyers associated with our platform so that they can best prepare your consultation
  • Follow up on the legal services you have contracted through our website platform
  • Attend to requests for ARCO Rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition) of personal data.

These purposes are not essential for the fulfillment of the legal relationship between Inmigramm and you, so even without them you still can have access to Inmigramm services:

  • To send you notifications about legal topics that may be of interest to you
  • To ask you to share your testimony about your experience with Inmigramm services 
  • To send you updates about our services, as well as events we organize.
  • To process personal information for measuring, analyzing and optimizing our services, generate statistical reports, understand the general trends and patterns of our users to be able to design and support existing and ongoing marketing strategies.  

As you can see, the secondary purposes for processing personal data do not impact or condition the relationship between Inmigramm and you, so even without them, access to the legal services we offer will still be fully available to you. Therefore, you can let us know if you do not wish us to process your personal data for the secondary purposes that we have already made known to you. To do this, simply let us know by emailing contacto@inmigramm.com, indicating your full name. Remember, you can change your option at any time.

How and when is my data shared?

In order to provide you with an optimal services experience, there are some circumstances in which we may share your data.

Inmigramm may share your consultation data with the lawyers and legal firms associated to our platform with the goal of enabling them to prepare your consultation and provide services in the best way possible.

We may retain, use, share, or disclose your data if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with a law, regulation, or legal or administrative request;
  • Ensure the safety of any person and the security or integrity of our website and services platform, including to help prevent spam, abuse, or malicious acts by third parties on our services;
  • Explain why we have removed content or accounts from our services (for example, for violating our Rules);
  • Address technical, fraud, and security issues; or
  • Protect our rights or property, or the rights or property of those who use our services.

We may share, sell, or transfer data about you in the context of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or bankruptcy proceeding. This Privacy Policy will apply to those of your personal data that are shared with the new entity (both before and after the closing of any transaction) or are transferred to such entity.

We may share your payment information with our payment gateway provider, in order to ensure you easy access to this payment method, as well as a secure purchase transaction.

For how long is my data stored?

Generally, we retain your data as long as you are using our services and your client account remains active.

Your personal data will only be retained in the event that you contract one of our legal services in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, and as long as your account remains active. If you do not contract our services and delete your account, your personal data will not be retained.

The retention period for your personal data will only be for the time necessary to provide you with the service you require, as well as for the time you have your personal account active. Once the purpose for which you shared your personal data with us has been fulfilled, it will be deleted.

How can I take control over my data?

You can access your data, delete it, or change your settings. Basically, you rule.

You have the power over your data, so you can Access, Rectify, and Cancel your personal data, as well as Object to its processing or revoke the consent you have given us, so that we stop using it, all of this anytime. This set of actions are the ARCO Rights. Similarly, we recognize and guarantee your rights to erasure and portability of your personal data

To protect your privacy and maintain security, we take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your personal data or processing a request for deletion, portability, or other related. In certain situations, we may deny your request for access, rectification, or portability; for example, we may deny your access request if you are unable to verify your identity.

  • You can access the data you have provided us, correct or modify it by editing your profile and changing your account settings. For the same purpose, you can also send us a request and/or request a copy of your data via email to the following address: contacto@inmigramm.com
  • In those cases where you wish to exercise the right of Access to your Personal Data, the requested information will be provided via email.
  • In the event that Inmigramm does not have your Personal Data, we will also inform you via email.
  • In case you request a Rectification of your personal data, then you have to provide us with the document/documents which contain the personal data to be rectified.

Personal account:  Follow the instructions found here for deactivation of your account, and your data will be queued for deletion. Once deactivated, your Inmigramm account, including your username, will no longer be visible. You have a period of 30 days from the deactivation of your Inmigramm account to restore it in case it was deactivated accidentally or by mistake.

In case there were a problem with deactivation or your personal account, you can request the elimination of your data via email to the following address: contacto @inmigramm.com

  • You can manage your privacy settings and other features of your account here. If you change your settings, the modifications you introduce may take some time to fully reflect in our systems. You may also notice changes in your experience while navigating in our website or limitations in your ability to access certain features depending on the adjustments you have made to your settings.
  • Furthermore, you can also let us know by sending a request via email to contacto@inmigramm.com, if you wish to express your opposition to the processing of your personal data, want to restrict its use, or if you wish to withdraw your consent for us to continue processing your personal data.

What is the process to excersise my ARCO/data privacy rights?

We are as much aware as you, that you are the owner of your data. And for this reason, we designed an easy-going process for you to excersice your data privacy rights.

To process your request, you must: 

  1. Prove your identity, attaching a copy of your current identification document (passport or immigration document) and show the original document to confirm that you are the person processing the ARCO Rights request. 

In cases where the ARCO Rights request is being processed through a third party such as a legal representative:

  1. The legal representative has to prove his/her identity and yours through valid ID documents.
  2. Submit a Power of Attorney (PoA) document, proxy letter  signed before two witnesses, or declaration in personal appearance by you authorizing such third party to be your legal representative. 
  1. Request our “ARCO Rights Form”, emailing our Personal Data Department to the address: contacto@inmigramm.com. Write “ARCO Form” as the email subject.
  2. We will reply sending you the “ARCO Rights Form”.
  3. Fill the form and send email it us back in reply to our mail jointly with a scanned copy of your ID.
  4. We will send you a confirmation email, asking you to have a brief videocall of 2 minutes holding your ID just to confirm that the person processing the request is you.
  5. Once we confirmed your identity, we will review your request and you will receive a reply. 
  • Once you have submitted your request and we have confirmed that it has been received via email it, we will carefully review it, which may take us some time.
  • You will receive a response to your request within the next 20 business days from the date it was received.
  • Inmigramm may extend this period by up to 20 more business days, when warranted, with prior notification via email to you.
  • We will communicate you our resolution via email, to the email account you provided to us in the ARCO Rights Form.

How does Inmigramm process my data from my location?

We process your data in a fairly manner, regardless of the country you reside in.

We make the Inmigramm website and services available to people around the world and offer many of the same privacy tools and controls to all our users, regardless of their place of residence. However, your experience on our website may be slightly different from that of users in other countries to ensure we comply with local requirements.

Are you a citizen from an EU country?

Then, the GDPR will be applicable to you. Please, consult the information below to understand the terms under which Inmigramm applies the provisions related to the GDPR.

This privacy policy is applicable in terms of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR), Directive 95/46/EC and 2002/58/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, for citizens of the European Union who use our legal services through our website. 

We commit not to transfer your personal data to a third country or international organization in terms of what is provided by Article 44 of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.

As the owner of your personal data, you have the right to exercise your rights of access, rectification, opposition, erasure, and/or portability, as well as to revoke the consent you have granted us, in order for us to stop using them.

In order to process your request, send us an email to contacto@inmigramm.com with the subject “Right of (name of the right requested)” and we will gladly respond your request.

To process your request, you must prove your identity with an official ID document that you should attach in a simple copy, so that the authentication of the person exercising the Right to Protection of their Personal Data can be carried out.

You will receive a response within a period of one month from the date the request was received, the above in terms of what is provided by Article 12 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Is Inmigramm for children?

The content of our website is available for all audiences. Contracting our services, that’s another story.

You cannot contract by yourself and use our services if you are under 18 years of age. Likewise, you must be of sufficient age to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country (in some countries, we may allow your father, mother, or guardian to do so on your behalf).

Does Inmigramm track my online activity?

We may track your online activity through Cookies and Web beacons, in order to offer you a better browsing experience through our services.

Both Cookies and Web beacons are tracking tools that websites and email senders use to understand and improve the user experience, as well as to direct more effective advertising based on the interests and browsing behavior of the users.

Through cookies and web beacons it is possible to monitor your behavior as an internet user, to offer you a better service and experience while browsing our page, obtaining personal data that we can obtain from these technologies include the following: Browser used, server name, IP address, date, time, and duration of internet browsing and on our site, and sections consulted.

This procedure may vary depending on the internet browser you use. We remind you that the use of these technologies on our website is intended to provide you with a better experience when using our website and your personal account and at the time of your purchase.

Is this Privacy Policy going to have changes?

If that is the case, we will inform you. 

The most current version of this Privacy Policy governs the processing of your personal data by us. We may modify this Privacy Policy at the appropriate time if necessary to be in compliance with law.

In the event that we review this Privacy Policy and make the changes we deem appropriate, we will notify you via email, and allow you to read the modified version of the Privacy Policy before you continue using our services.

Is this Privacy Policy in other languages?

Yes, but…

Inmigramm’s Privacy Policy is originally written in Spanish, as this is the official language in México, but is available in English and various languages through translations. Inmigramm strives to make the translations as faithful as possible to the original Spanish version. However, in case of discrepancies or inconsistencies, the Spanish version of Inmigramm’s Privacy Policy will prevail. You acknowledge that Spanish will be the reference language for interpreting and constructing the terms of Inmigramm’s Privacy Policy.
